Spinning wheels on your 3rd and 4th shots in particular, with a blurred background, would give a very clear feeling of a dirt bike roaring into the air and the expectation of a dirt-spewing landing.Actually, he did get just that. But he was panning so fast that it took several hours for the blur to catch up with the rest of the image.

Here is some information on what to do if your passport and I-94 are lost or stolen.

If you do not receive the I-94 in time (before leaving the US), you can send copies of your boarding pass, immigration stamp (when you enter India), and a cover letter to the USCIS (Kentucky, see below) explaining what happened.

If they take the trouble of selecting multiple applications from the same employer, I dont doubt that anybody with multiple applications (even from different employers) will get either rejected or get questions.

I'm moving from MI to TX and need to do something address. Does premium mail forwarding service works for USCIS notices? I know regular mail forwarding doesn't work and they'll be returned to INS. Please let me know if premium service works or not.

It may be counterproductive to get Indian government involved, as has been pointed out by IV before.
The recent WTO talks failed and US trade rep blamed India and Brazil for the failure. Why wouldn't US use this as a trade negotiation issue with India, instead of solving it as a domestic procedural issue. Once that happens the likes of Lou Doubbs will hijack this issue and make it US vs India.
- If at all there is a trade issue, it is for H1-B visas. Once you are at AOS stage even that motivation goes away.
My suggestion is to focus on domestic media and local congresspeople, who can be more helpful.
Lets try to be part of the community we want to be "permanent immigrant" of, instead of looking towards Indian govt., which can't do much here anyways

The word "transfer" is a misnomer. There is no such thing. The new company files a new H-1B petition to hire you, with the request that the new H-1B petition not be counted against the yearly cap. This new application doesn't affect your current H-1B status; in fact if you change your mind about the new offer, you are not even required to go work for the new employer.
It is always good to wait till the new application is approved, and the approval notice has been received, before you give your two weeks notice.

they should have returned your wife's I797. If she's still in India she can call VFS and follow up to get it. It is important that she gets back the original 797. Sometimes they ask for it at the airport when you land. My wife was asked for it once.

my wife went to delhi consulate in sep 06 (i didnt go), and they took all reqd docs including our I-797s original, and when they sent stamped passport through courier, they returned all documents with passport including I-797s.
I dont think they took any document except fees receipt, ds-156/157, it was suprising to us not even the xerox copies of reqd docs like w-2's,marriage ceritificate, etc. i think, might be, they just want to verify and once they did that, they are returning it.
it took 3 days after interview date to get the stamped passport and documents through courier.
If any delay or problem in getting those documents/passport after 3-4days, contact VFS at delhi. I think you can track through SMS too.

I checked with my lawyer, she did not received it yet.

It all depends on the officer who makes the decision.
One of my friends applied for 140 in July 07. He got RFE on Mar 08 to submit payslips for 08. He was on bench from Jan08-Mar 08 and was not having payslips.
He just sent W2 for 07.
Surprisingly his 140 approved without any questions.
So, try your best to get the payslips or pray for the god!

After this second corrected post, I follow the link. It is NOT about the CIR and the logjam; it is an attempt to arrive at an agreement to have a working methodology to verify and check illegal immigrants.

So as per this law form, since they both start with a 13 we are good?

You are in a good position.
- hire your own lawyer
- have the lawyer directly talk to your HR. dont confuse HR with websites and all the info. make their job easy by having them just sign the papers for you
- keep a copy of all documents with you that the lawyer files or gets from HR

Yes, it is better to delay it until economy picks up and unemployment rate goes down to 5%...otherwise he will get lot of queries. BTW nobody is willing to file green card at this time.
